Related to Training:

Olympia Cycle & Ski

Scott bought his first 'real' bike here more than two decades ago, and hasn't looked back since.

Wilderness Supply Company

Where we've gone to get a lot of our kayak and snowshoe stuff.

Store manager Katrina is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Webcyclery

When Olympia doesn't have that obscure bike part that we're looking for (and when it just doesn't make sense for them to order in one for us) we turn to the internet and the guys at Webcyclery.

MEC

For our general outdoor wear and gear needs MEC provides good gear at great prices.

Oxygen

Deanna subscribed to this women's fitness magazine a few years ago, and it's a never ending supply of motivation, training info and tips. (Warning: Some of it is pretty hard-core, but there's usually good stuff for even the recreational athlete.)

Epicurious

If you want to train you need some fuel.  Epicurious is a great resource for recipes or even whole meals.

NutritionData

Provides complete nutritional information for any food or recipe.

VeloNews

Much of the professional world of cycling is in complete disarray at the moment, but in addition to covering the races VeloNews is a great resource for training tips, gear reviews, and much more. Written from a North American perspective.

CyclingNews.com

Sort of, kind of similar to VeloNews but coming to you from Down Under.

Cyclocrossworld.com

A little like VeloNews and CyclingNews, but specifically for Cyclocross racing.  Oh, and you can buy stuff from them too.

Related to the rest of our life:

St. Margaret's

St. M's has been a source of great joy and unbelievable frustration, but for better and for worse it's the church that Scott & Deanna, and Tom & Lori attend.  Scott also maintains the church website, at least whenever he receives few and far between updates to post online.

Cangene Corporation

Where Deanna has been employed for well over a decade now, currently as Manager, Analytical Assay Development and Formulation (whatever that means).

Canoe

The journalism on Canoe is pretty poor, but it's free.

Blog Critics

Read well-written reviews of just about anything here.

Winnipeg Public Library

A place to get books (and a box of chocolate chip cookies).

The Weather Network

Don't go outside before you check the weather.

We're not sure what these are related to, but we still like them:

CuteOverload.com

Umm, this is Deanna's.  Scott occasionally sneaks a peak but won't admit to it.

AskaNinja

Profound wisdom is just a click away.

The 9

An utter waste of time - Scott checks it a couple of times a week.

Scott took this shot from a kayak in False Creek, Vancouver.  Although he considers himself to be a recreational / fitness paddler at best Scott has paddled in the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans, but he enjoys the Canadian Shield and urban paddling thru Winnipeg the best.
